Author Guidelines

Journal of Cybersecurity and Information Systems

Thank you for your interest in submitting your article to the Journal of Cybersecurity and Information Systems. Please read and follow the guidelines below to ensure the smooth submission and review process.


1. General Requirements

The submitted article must be an original work that has not been previously published. Articles can be original research, literature reviews, or case studies related to cybersecurity and information systems innovation.

2. Submission Format

  • Language: Articles must be written in English or Indonesian.
  • Format: Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
  • Word Count: Articles should be between 3,000 - 6,000 words, including abstract, keywords, and references.

3. Article Structure

The article should follow this structure:

  1. Title: A concise and clear title that reflects the content of the article.
  2. Abstract: A maximum of 250 words, outlining the aim, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study.
  3. Keywords: 3–5 keywords that are relevant to the article's topic.
  4. Introduction: Provides the background, research questions, and objectives of the study.
  5. Methodology: Describes the methods used in the research.
  6. Results and Discussion: Presents the research findings and discusses the implications of these results.
  7. Conclusion: Summarizes the findings and offers suggestions for future research or practical applications.
  8. References: Use the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

4. Writing Style

  • Font Size: Times New Roman, 10 pt.
  • Line Spacing: 1.0 line spacing.
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.0 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbers: Please number all pages consecutively.
  • References: Use APA 5th Edition citation style for in-text citations and the reference list.

5. Article Submission

Articles must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) online submission system. New users must create an account first, then upload their article via the submission process provided on the platform.

6. Review Process

All submitted articles will undergo a peer-review process by two or more experts in the relevant field. The decision regarding whether the article is accepted, revised, or rejected will be communicated within 4–6 weeks after submission.

7. Publication Ethics

  • Submitted articles must be original and not previously published elsewhere.
  • Authors are responsible for the originality of the content and the accuracy of the data presented.
  • Proper citations must be used for any quotes or materials taken from other sources.

8. Submission and Publication Fees

  • There is no submission fee for articles submitted to this journal.
  • Once an article is accepted, the authors will be notified about any publication fees (if applicable).

9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors of accepted articles will be required to sign a copyright agreement, granting the journal the right to publish the article and allowing the article to be distributed according to the applicable license.
